Poetry

The #WongWay to live

Is the right way for Susan Cook! Invictus Games medalist, GB Women's Bronze medalist in Para-Ice Hockey and now baker!

My life is poetry in motion....

Or more importantly it's my life, my thoughts, even some of my innermost desires, laid bare for the world to take a part and hear for their own enjoyment

After an interesting start to poetry as a naive teenager in my English Literature class and my first publicised poem ''Rose with many petals''; I went with it and continued writing everything down.

I wrote about depression, love, suicide, family, new friednships, the courses that were framing who I was becoming and as I developed; so did my poetry!

Since those small beginnings in School anthologies I then conquered the American market (briefly!) and took my poetry to the shores of the hardest market to crack in Britain - London!

I wrote in christmas cards, performed at a small but impossibly hard little café in sleepy Soho, took to the stage of the Royal Vauxhall Tavern, went back for Wotever Sex and performed in both stores of Sh! in Portobello Road and in hustling Hoxton!

Let not my broken heart,

Quieten your joy,

Let it not be forgotten,

Let my sorrow not be your sword.

Let it shine,

Let us be at peace,

Let us be as one,

Allow me to let you shine.

Allow my work to guide your heart,

Make you think,

Make you wonder,

Make you aware of your inner most self.

Let me share,

Let us enjoy,

Allow me to hear,

Make me feel.

We shall grow together,

We shall learn together,

We shall experience together,

My followers and I shall be together

Through this journey and the many more to follow.
